And about beauty?
In
the previous text we talked about fashion
and style, to begin to define and
review some of the words linked to the fashion world around us. This time, let's talk about the concept of Beauty.
Beauty is an abstract notion
studied mainly for aesthetics and is also addressed by other disciplines such as history, sociology
and psychology.
Beauty is defined as the property of a thing (person or object) that through a sensory experience (sense perception) provides a feeling of pleasure or a feeling of satisfaction.
In this sense, the beauty is associated with the form, the visual appearance, movement and sound.
Emphasizing the visual appearance,
Thomas Aquinas, an ancient philosopher
and theorist, defines the beautiful as
that which pleases the eye and is in balance and harmony.
Also Plato and the Greek philosophers, creators of aesthetics and the divine proportion, were interested in defining the concept of beauty.
Plato considered beauty an idea. According to the Platonic conception of beauty in the world is visible to all; however, that beauty is only a manifestation of the true beauty that lies in the soul and that can only be accessed if we enter their knowledge. Pure philosophy.

As
for human
beauty, the characterization of a
person as beautiful, either individually
or by community consensus,
is often based on a combination of
inner beauty, which includes psychological
factors and outer beauty or attractive physical.
The
opposite face of beauty is ugliness. This
is a property of a thing that
is not pleasant to look at. The ugly is defined as
unattractive or repulsive. Like its opposite, beauty, ugliness involves a subjective judgment.
In this sense beauty and ugliness are concepts that are in the mind and have their origin in the consideration of "watchful eye" or as you say the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Since
the world
began the man has performed
around aesthetic rating,
ranking it in beautiful or ugly surroundings.
This is a characteristic of human nature
that, in my opinion, at certain times can become
very cruel to others. We all perform daily
aesthetic value judgments,
either admiring the beauty of someone
who is perfect to our eyes
and when we choose to use clothes because it makes us feel good about ourselves.
We
are also sometimes overly critical
of our own beauty, when we move away from the fees imposed by the society or what our individual mind understand as beautiful.
The media, stereotypes, and models, as well as others ideas also condition us greatly and the critical look under that judge others and we judge aesthetically.

What
I express
is not new, but I consider it could
serve to reflect on the issue and to have a look of greater
self-acceptance and other as people.
This largely relates to fashion, style, and which, as we mentioned in
the previous text, we chose to use. What we choose to wear
and dress up has to be consistent with
our morphology, our
skin tone, our personality and aesthetic
tastes. (We will talk about the personal
aesthetic in another text, but
later, time to time).
For
all this we believe that beauty is subjective, depends of the beholder and while there are certain standards of beauty imposed by society that are
gaining adherents, contemplate
and judge beauty is much more
than make an assessment about if someone or something is ugly or cute. It is much more
than choosing that. Is to consider something beautiful
and to consider that it define our
personality and aesthetic sense.
Since beauty is subjective,
there are many concepts and styles of beauty as people who watch it, so talking about ugly or
beautiful, always with respect, are relative to humans.
In this blog we will talk about beauty, her relationship with fashion, with art, with the aesthetic and the esteem of the people, an element that, through dress, grooming and cosmetics, can be enhanced and build self esteem ... which, although is associate it with the superficial, It is very important to feel good about yourself.
